Silver Stud Earrings

By

Ah, accessories. Everyone knows the quote by the famous CoCo Chanel, “When accessorizing, always take off the last thing you put on.” You never want to overdo it. But with a nice pair of silver stud earrings, you probably never could. Even if you go with a beautiful pair of silver diamond stud earrings, the chances you’ve chosen the wrong accessory are slim to none.

Silver, unlike gold, is one of the most versatile metals used in jewelry today. A nice pair of silver stud earings can take you from this morning’s boardroom meeting in corporate America directly to painting the town red that evening. Not only is silver more durable than gold but it’s also complementary to more colors and skin tones than gold. Where gold will clash with certain colors or make some people look sick with jaundice, sterling silver studs can make anyone look good.

Also, there’s less of a chance for an allergic reaction. And let’s not forget about the price. You can often get more than one pair of quality silver earrings for the price of one gold pair. And I’m not just talking about a pair of silver ball stud earrings. Even paired with your favorite gemstone, it’s still more cost efficient than gold. Often, gold can look fake or brassy despite the fact that you bought a genuine gold piece. But most silver jewelry, especially when polished, always looks classy.

When considering what type of studs you should go with, one good way to pick is by looking at your face shape. Is your face oval? A heart shape? Also take under consideration the size of your face. Say you are trying to make your face appear larger. You may want to go for a smaller stud. However, if you trying to offset a round face, you should try a larger earring.

But wait, we’re not done yet. After size you should consider if you want a plain silver stud or if you want your silver stud earrings to feature your favorite gemstone, such as an emerald or a ruby, or maybe even your birthstone. There’s also the finish of the silver to think about. A nice matte polish could be more appropriate to your tastes but you might think about a brighter, shinier finish if you are trying to get noticed.

Of course, none of this matters if you don’t feel good. Just because something is “trendy” or your friends say you look better with blah, blah, blah. Make sure you like what you’ve chosen. Nothing looks as good as confidence.
